Bloubergstrand Overview Information

When you envisage Cape Town it is Bloubergstrand's view of Table Mountain, Table Bay and Robben Island that one sees in one's mind's eye. Bloubergstrand, sometimes known as Blaauwberg (blue mountain) is famous for its endless white, sandy beaches and the view. Just 20 minutes west of Cape Town, the Atlantic coast suburb of Bloubergstrand is the home of kite surfing and water sports and there are natural tidal pools safe for small children.

Bloubergstrand is close to two golf estates, Milnerton and Atlantic Beach, and is regarded as the start of the West Coast, with its whale sightings between July and December and its wild flowers, which draw people to this part of the coast during August and September for the sheer array of colour.

Ratanga Junction and Canal Walk's shopping mall are close by, should you need to leave the wondrous selection of beaches and local restaurants and bars are just a stroll away.
