Bronkhorstspruit is a small but beautiful farming community in Pretoria which was once part of the First Boer War. It was established in 1905.

Attractions:
The Bronkhorstspruit Dam Nature Reserves is one of the most popular attractions in Pretoria and is regularly visited by locals and international visitors. The Dam is mostly popular for its Fishing, boating, jet skiing and windsurfing. There are known to be over 200 bird species at the Dam. The Willem Prinsloo Agricultural Museum is an interesting outing for the family and is made of 2 farm houses which were built in 1880 and 1913, here you will be able to see vintage tractors, horse drawn wagons and a re-creation of an Ndebele dwelling. The Willem Prinsloo Agricultural Museum is host to many festivals every year. Bronkhorstspruit is also very well known for the fact that it has the largest Buddhist temple in Africa.

Climate:
Bronkhorstspruit enjoys a moderate climate with hot summer days and cooler nights with most rainfall as thunderstorms with lightening and hail. The winter months are cool to very cold.
