Brooklyn is an upmarket, saught-after suburb in Pretoria.

The Brooklyn Mall is an upmarket shopping mall which has something for everyone from clothing shops, banking facilities to cinemas and upper class restaurants. One of the most recognised buildings in South Africa is the Union Building, which is not open to the public but may be admired from the beautiful surrounding gardens. If history is something that catches your attention, then a visit to the beautiful Victorian Style, Melrose House Museum which is part of the South African History is a must while visiting Brooklyn, Pretoria. Brooklyn enjoys a moderate climate with hot summer days and cooler nights with most rainfall as thunderstorms, lightening and hail. The winter months are cool to very cold.
