Centurion is a picturesque garden city situated midway between the cities of Pretoria, the administrative capital of South Africa, and the golden city of Johannesburg. The central business district of Centurion is built around a man-made lake where you can find open-air restaurants alongside office blocks mirrored in the water. Centurion has been a magnet for the go-ahead businessman and entrepreneur. There is direct access to three major highways and easy access to all of Gauteng's airports.

Centurion fall within the ecological zone known as Bakenveld. It is well scattered with woody plants and grasses. Vegetation along the Hennops River includes the White Stinkwood, the River Bushwillow, Sweet Thorn and Karee. In the wetlands of the area can be found the Giant African Bullfrog, a protected species. The Hennops River hiking trail offers an excellent opportunity to view a large number of bird species. In the northern part of Centurion can be found the Zwartkop Airport which houses the South African Air Force Museum.
