Christiana Overview Information
Christiana
Christiana is an agricultural suburb in the North West of South Africa and became well known for its discovery of diamonds in 1870. It was named after the presidents only daughter and is today still a well known farming community.

Attractions:
There are many attractions in and nearby Christiana like hot mineral springs and for those who want to enjoy the outdoors, there is game viewing available as well as angling. The Diggers Diamond Museum is nearby and is an enteresting day out for the whole family where you will learn about the diamond mining and see the authentic digging equipment from the 1800's. Not far from Christiana is the Pilansberg National Park where you will see lion, leopard, rhino and hyena, this is not to be missed while visiting Christiana.

Climate:
Christiana enjoys warm to hot summer months with most rainfall as afternoon thundershowers and dry winter months with temperatures that are cool to cold.
