Clansthal Overview Information Situated 40 kilometers to the south of Durban is the small holiday village of Clansthal. Situated high on a cliff above the village is the Green Point Light, otherwise known as the Clansthal Lighthouse, put here to warn mariners of the world renowned Aliwal Shoal situated some five kilometers out to sea, and a mecca for scuba divers worldwide. Just a few kilometers to the south of Clansthal and just off the road to Ixopo lies the Vernon Crookes Nature Reserve.
