Die Wilgers
Die Wilgers is a suburb of Pretoria, Guateng. It is a popular area with beautiful gardens, clean sidewalks and tree-lined streets. It is a friendly neighbourhood and residents strive to keep it clean and safe. The community is close and work together to achieve a good relationship with the council and police.
There are English and Afrikaans schools in the area, as well as a German school nearby. There are a variety of upmarket shopping centres in the area which are popular amongst locals and visitors from around the country. Die Wilgers is a sought-after suburb with lovely upmarket homes and well maintained gardens.

There is so much to see and do in the area. Die Wilgers is in Pretoria which offers locals and visitors a variety of attractions and activities in the area. The Pioneer Museum in Silverton is a very interesting way to spend the day with the whole family. The museum is a refurbished farm which dates back to 1846. The farm shows, as best as possible, how the families lived in those days. You will have the opportunity to grind wheat, bake bread, roast coffee and make candles to mention only a few of the exciting and fun activities. It is an interesting visit and the whole family will enjoy it.
There is also a braai area where you can relax and have lunch, or you can picnic on the lawn with the family. The museum is open daily between 9am and 4pm.
There are many more attractions, you can visit the Union Building, Melrose House Museum and the South African State Theatre to mention only a few. The area is rich in history and there’s a large variety of museums, heritage sites and beautiful gardens to visit.

Climate:
Die Wilgers enjoys warm to hot summer days with most rainfall as afternoon thunderstorms. The winter months are cold and dry with evening temperatures dropping considerably.
