Ferreira is in the Free State and is a lovely suburb with many nearby attractions which makes it a convenient holiday destination for visitors.

Ferreira boasts some excellent golf courses including the Bloemfontein Golf Course which is not far away and is a well kept and challenging course. The WindMill Casino is not far from Ferreira and the whole family will be kept entertained here, with a variety of slot machines, betting tables and an entertainment area for the children. The WindMill Casino also has a lovely restaurant where the whole family can enjoy a meal together. The National Museum in Bloemfontein is a very interesting outing for the whole family too, with a complete dinosaur skeleton and a life size elephant family display. One of the most popular and interesting exhibits at the National Museum in Bloemfontein is the working beehive where you can watch the bees in their everyday working environment. There is also a shop and restaurant where you can enjoy a light snack. While on holiday in Ferreira, you will also be able to visit the National Botanical Garden in Bloemfontein which is divided into beautiful gardens with over 20 species of indigenous and medicinal plants. There is also a restaurant at the National Botanical Gardens in Bloemfontein where you can relax and enjoy a light lunch.

Climate:
Ferreira enjoys warm to very hot summer months with most rainfall during the summer months. The winter months are cool to very cold, with snow on the mountain tops.
