Fochville Overview Information Fochville Fochville is a mining suburb in the North West Province between Johannesburg and Potchefstroom and was established in 1920. Attractions: The Borehole is a very interesting visit while in Fochville and not to be missed. In the early mining days this is where sulphurious water was struck and still surges out of the Borehole at an awesome speed. While in Fochville you can also visit the beautiful Piet Viljoen Park for a walk around or to enjoy a family picnic. The Renosterfontein is a farm where there are old Tswana Kraals and a traditional African Village. You will also get to see many Tswana ruins in the area. Climate: Fochville enjoys almost all year round sunshine with hot to very hot summer temperatures and afternoon thundershowers. The winter months are dry and cool with temperatures dropping considerably in the evenings.
