La-Montagne
La-Montagne is a beautiful, peaceful, well-established suburb in Pretoria. It is close to shopping malls and restaurants which makes it convenient for visitors who are looking for a relaxing atmosphere but still enjoy the option of eating out.

Attractions:
The Pioneer Museum in Silverton is an interesting outing for the whole family, it allows you to go back into history and experience the way of life on the farm which was established in 1846. You will thouroughly enjoy the many demonstrations from wheat grinding, bread manking, coffee roasting and you can even try your hand at milking. Not far from La-Montagne is the well known Union Building which was completed in 1913 and well known for the two wings which are known to symbolise the unity of the two cultures achieved since the Anglo Boer War. The Union Building is not open to the public but the sand-stone building is admired by many from the magnificently kept gardens which surround it. Another interesting attraction is the Sammy Marks Museum which consists of a mansion, victorian gardens and outbuildings with original parts of the farm since 1880. You may enjoy having tea or a picnic on the beautiful Victorian gardens while trying out a game of croquet.
