Leeudoringstad
Leeudoringstad is a farming town in the North West Province in South Africa and it was founded in 1920 and is named after a certain type of thorn bush which is found in the area. In 1932 a train that was carrying dynamite, exploded in the city and the remains are displayed in the local Leeudoringstad Museum along with photographs and other interesting artefacts.
Another attraction is the Wolwespruit Nature Reserve which is a small reserve but very popular amongst anglers, hikers and bird watchers.

Climate:
Leeudoringstad is in the North West which enjoys sunshine almost all year round. The summer months are hot with most rainfall as afternoon thundershowers and the winter months are sunny but cool and dry with temperatures dropping considerably in the early mornings and evenings.
