The Johannesburg suburb of Morningside is a area rich with small, secure town-house complexes and large post-war houses. The suburb sits along both sides of the Rivonia Road in the north of Johannesburg and is bounded in the north by the suburb of Rivonia.

Morningside is very close to the vast Buccleuch Interchange which links the N1, M1 and N3 highways, making easy access to all parts of South Africa. The suburb is about 30 minutes drive from Johannesburg International Airport.

Morningside is home to the Morningside Sports Club and the Pavilion Shopping Centre. Situated just a few blocks from Morningside is the Woodmead Commercial Park, which houses a number of well-known consumer outlets in the Woodmead Value Mart and the Woodmead Super Value Centre. Morningside is also close to the Vodacom World of Golf and the Woodmead Golf Driving Range. The suburb is just a few blocks from Rivonia Boulevard, where most top stores are represented.
