Petrusburg Overview Information
Petrusburg
Petrusburg was named after Petrus Albertus Venter. The area was once a church on the Diepfontein farm. It later became a large farming area, mainly farming, sheep, maize, corn, and potatos.

Attractions:
The Windmill Casino has something to keep the whole family entertained, from slot machines and betting tables for the adults to a tenpin bowling alley and entertainment centre for the children. The National Botanical Garden in Bloemfontein is a lovely day out for the whole family and has many different species of plants to view and for sale, there is also a restaurant where you can enjoy a delicious snack or lunch. The National Botanical Garden in Bloemfontein is open daily from 8am - 18h00. Another interesting place to visit while on holiday, is the National Museum - Bloemfontein, where there are many interesting exhibits such as a working beehive, a complete dinosaur skeleton and many different snakes and reptiles.

Petrusburg enjoys a moderate climate with hot to very hot summer months with most rainfall as thunderstorms and cool to very cold, dry winter months.
