Pretoria East is a popular area, which is well positioned within the historical city which is famed for its laid-back ambience and jacaranda-blossom lined streets. As well as being a successful business region, the area is also known for the friendliness of its residents and its historical importance. Pretoria East has a prime location in in that it is nearby to many of the citys predominant attractions and facilities. This is the perfect place for both families and professionals and also caters to the student community, as the well-known University of Pretoria is only 7km away.

Evidence of the Pretorias somewhat turbulent and fascinating past can still be seen in the well-preserved historical buildings and monuments dotted along the streets, including the Union buildings, which are situated only 8km away. The region hosts a wealth of museums and galleries, including the informative Pioneer Museum, Melrose House and the Voortrekker Monument. Pretoria has many attractions, including the magnificent Botanical Gardens that provide a scenic setting for enjoyable reflection and rejuvenation. The Pretoria Zoo is world-famous and houses an impressive selection of animals and also comprises a beautiful aquarium and reptile centre.

Visitors can also immerse themselves in nature in the spectacular Wonderboom Nature Reserve which boasts an ancient fig tree speculated to be over a thousand years old. The Groenkloof Nature Reserve is another popular option for an enjoyable day out, with gorgeous scenery and an array of animals and birds. Delight in a picnic on the banks of the Roodeplaat Dam or hop on a horse and enjoy a safari with a difference.
