Rawsonville was founded in 1858 and named after William Rawson. There's a huge variety of activities in Rawsonville such as, hiking, trout fishing, golfing, horse riding, game drives and quad biking. For the more adventurous there is boating, canoeing and white river rafting. Rawsonville which is in the Western Cape is most popularly known for it's wine farms which produce some of the finest high quality wines. Climate:
Being in the Western Cape, Rawsonville enjoys a mediterranean climate. The summer months are hot with temperatures going up to low to mid 30's and during the wet winter months the temperatures are in the mid to low 20's. You can expect to find snow on the higher mountain peaks during winter.
